International publications are one of the benchmarks in achieving the vision of an Islamic University Riau to be superior and leading in the Southeast Asia region in 2020. University Islam Riau through the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) has carried out this coaching for research lecturers to be able to produce works.

Apart from monitoring and improving the publication performance of lecturers in the international arena, The Directorate of Research and Community Service also coordinates, publishes, and distribute journals. Various training such as seminars and workshops are also carried out to develop the competence of journal editors within the University Islamic Riau. As of 2020, there have been 39 journals that have ISSN and managed through the open journal system (OJS) online platform. In 2020, there are 12 journals with SINTA national accreditation with details of 1 journal ranked SINTA 2, 4 journal ranked SINTA 3, 6 journals ranked SINTA 4, and 1 journal ranked SINTA 6. These journals routinely publish the best articles which are well received from internally at Riau Islamic University, as well as from outside writers, even from outside writers’ country.
