Program dalam bidang penelitian meliputi pengembangan kompetensi dosen dalam bidang penelitian yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat maupun dalam pengembangan keilmuan yang up to date sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman. Program ini dibiayai oleh UIR dengan harapan setiap dosen bisa melakukan pengajuannya bantuan dana minimal satu tahun sekali.
